Saturday!

Good Morning Friends -

As Michelle mentioned, we ran into some technical difficulties on the blog.  Luckily, Michelle is a technically savvy lady and fixed it…otherwise we may have been disconnected forever!

So, a few updates…I got some GREAT responses to my mother’s helper posting. I interviewed several on the phone and via email and narrowed those down to 3 that I wanted to interview in person.  We did our first interview on Wednesday and I have to say, I just really really liked her.  Senna warmed up to her right away which is a great sign.  She is 22, already has a flexible 25 hr/week  job so this 10hr/week job fits in perfectly for her.  She was born and raised in TN so has that sweet charm that so many southern girls have.  :)  She had a safe car that you could tell she takes good care of.  I probably would have made her a job offer on the spot, but there is one other girl we are interviewing on Sunday that I want to give a fair chance to.  So….good news is hopefully we’ve got someone by the end of the week!

I have to say, I really appreciated some of the comments left on that blogpost.  Cheryl – Your comment about the dishwasher just really really clicked for me.  Thank you so much for pointing that out!  And Julie – After seeing how quickly S clicked with this girl we interviewed I realized that she is actually going to LOVE this arrangement.  Someone paid to play with JUST HER.  At school she has to share the teacher with all the other kids and with mom and dad we are trying to get stuff done from the minute we get home.  So thanks for reminding me of that.  And Jessica and Cassey – Support from other young mom’s means the world to me.  So THANK YOU to all four of you!

The other update is that my sticker chart challenge is still going, though if I were a kid earning my allowance I would not have earned much this week!!!  The first week I did fantastic!  Was soooo proud of myself.  But then my best friend from Omaha came and spent 4 days with us and I have had a hard time getting back on track since then.  But, that’s why its a 8 week challenge.  Just going to keep going on this.

So, that’s the update from my end.  We have a fun picnic sponsored by my company to attend tonight that we are looking foward to.  I hope you all have a wonderful weekend!
